According to Bloomberg the inflation rate is now 10%
To put it into perspective it was 14.6% during the Carter years.
This means that not only has my IRAs dropped 25% but the remaining money is worth 10% less.

Bloomberg said the the quality and quantity of goods has also dropped.

Thanks Joe and the people that voted for you…. are you trying to beat Jimmy’s numbers?
I hear that Jimmy is very happy because Joe is quickly surpassing him is the worst President ever.

Let’s go Brandon!

Slight correction to the article - government gerrymandering can no longer hide double digit inflation. True inflation has been double digits for a while and now they are having to admit it. It is much higher than 10%.

Yep. They changed the way inflation was calculated at the end of Carter era. Welcome to Weimar.

True, but its been mostly hidden (decreasing portion sizes in canned goods). Large visible prices increases in the grocery like we're seeing now, that new for the youngins

I priced lumber 3 weeks ago to build onto my barn. I went in to Lowe’s today and it’s over doubled! $40.59 for 7/16 OSB! 2x4x8 were $2.59, now $6.59! In 3 weeks!

today,
if you find what you want,
better buy it and do not hesitate.

tomorrow,
the price will be higher,
if there is any at all left.

Standard 15amp white duplex outlets used to be $.59 now $.81 each, a 37% price increase. #FJB^2

I think they calculate inflation rates differently now so it might be higher than the Carter years. Check out shadowstats.com. They usually do a good job of breaking down the real numbers. Gov’t data is a lie.
