Local guys are good on maintenance and cleaning... I was definitely surprised.
15 rifles all SA including a 5.8 NM star gauged barrel on one with a nice bore and throat/muzzle! All the rifles were from CMP ~3-4 years ago and all in new unmarked wood.
Two of them had recently launched the BFA and gas cylinders off so I came in to inspect the others.
Found one or two with worn threads on the barrel so those have been tagged to keep an eye on them. Once late timing that I fixed and 1 hammer follow that was because of stock fitment. Selective interchange fixed that.
Big surprise was finding one with worn firing pin safety bridge..it failed the gage so it's now tagged as deadlined.
Found two uncut oprods...a -3 and a WRA...most of a WRA trigger group and a bolt and an early numbered bullet guide. Two IHC trig groups as well. The WRA and uncut rods were set aside until they decide what they want to do with them.
Fun day and nice to see a group of rifles that have actually been properly maintained to the best of their knowledge.
