I've been with Nationwide Since I've had my driver's license. It's time for a change, Home and auto.

Same previous and current for me as well.nationwide has always been high for me. I use Farm Bureau now.
I've been with Utica for a long time now: home, auto, and umbrella. We've been treated very well, even with a few small auto claims over the years. Very prompt handling of claims and our premiums have been stable.
Geico does not have an in house homeowners policy. They refer you to a third party..... .usually Travelers.Have all my vehicles & home with Geico now.
Used to have Nationwide/Erie for vehicles & home but the premiums on the house kept increasing from 600 to 750, 900, and then 1100.
No claims or anything.
At that time, I'd had my vehicles with Geico and homeowners with Nationwide/Erie.
Switched to Geico and my homeowners went down to 600/mo with the EXACT same coverage.
Lititz is pretty good for dwelling fire policies, but I have never been impressed with their homeowners policies.I have Utica as well for my vehicles and have had to file a claim with them on my truck. After some initial wrangling, they were very helpful and fair in their dealings with me. I CAN NOT say the same for Lititz Mutual, who is our current home insurance provider. They won't be once the contract is up.
Anyone who is whining about wind and hail lives out eastI just shopped the circuit down here, primarily with homeowners in mind but was quoted for home and auto for best rates.
Farm Bureau was by far the highest, by a lot.. I really did want to go with them but couldn't hack the price right now.
Geico was fairly expensive even though we already have our auto policies with them. Checked a few others and they weren't even in the ballpark.
Ended up with Nationwide. Cheapest on the homeowners and very comparable to Geico on the autos,
The killer is the required "Wind and hail" pool policy, $1300 a year for my new house on top of the regular old home owners..
Heard great things about USAA, so if you served they seem like the best way to go.
Geico is owned by Warren Buffet, and Progressive was started by a true "progressive" (who no longer has any position of authority in the company).Didn't we have a thread a while back (maybe the last forum, or the one before that) discussing Progressive and/or Geico supporting leftist/marxist/etc. agendas?
Maybe I'm mistaken, but that was one of the reasons I haven't used either of those companies.
Nationwide has been pretty good for us so far. Then again, we have only had a few claims on both home and auto over the last several years.

Yeah, that sounds right. Very cool that they do that. Of course, not bad for business either. Not sure if they have changed their qualifying standards but so long as a family member (immediate?) served you can become a member as well.
My wife and I never served but both of our Dads did which allowed us to be members.
I know that, just didn't feel like typing.Geico does not have an in house homeowners policy. They refer you to a third party..... .usually Travelers.

Homeowners is through Homesite.
Funny I did just the opposite.nationwide has always been high for me. I use Farm Bureau now.
