irons in front of the dot instead of behind?

With my dot+magnifier setup there is no room for the rear iron (plastic) on the receiver. PSA thoughtfully put a little rail section on the rear of the handguard... any reason I can't run the backup iron there?

The larger aperture on the magpul sight seems to give me enough visibility for use. Obviously shorter sight radius but this is fictional backup after all, not the primary sighting system. Just wondering what I'm not thinking of with that setup.

Personally, I'd just ditch the irons. Ive built extreme trust even in my cheapo holosuns over the years.

I think the only irons I have on any of my 4 ARs currently are the crappy irons built into the unity mounts 😅.
