I'm wanting to put together a true budget rifle, A2 front base, basic rifle. Just a toy rifle basically, something for friends to shoot at the range and maybe a truck gun. 16"

PSA has some uppers for $159ish, but is that the standard? Any other places to look for a cheaper upper?

I don't know a lot about rifles, but I've read PSA offers some sort of premium bolt carrier option.

I bought one of the PSA 7.62x39 carbine length nitride barreled uppers last year around Christmas for $150 shipped. I added a carry handle rear sight to go with the F marked front. It’s been shot quite a bit and is accurate.

Back in Jan bought one of PSA complete uppers and lower parts kit for $299 for my son. He added a $50 Anderson lower and rifle is shooting great. Already had a BUIS and plenty of mags. Lower rifle before he built the other lower.YKRB8119.JPG
