I find myself repeating the resizing process sometimes when I am reloading rifle rounds. I am talking about rounds shot out of my bolt action rifles.
Yesterday, when I got home from the range I neck resized the cases that I shot then checked the OAL of the cases. About 80% of them needed to be trimmed. I use a WFT trimmer but the problem is that the neck sizing die does not resize the neck back to SAMMI specifications and would not fit into the trimming die. I had to resize all the brass in a FL die then trim them.
I know that I can get WFT Trimmer to make a die for the neck size of the neck sizing die but that means another die and probably spending $100. That would need to be done for the 308, 6.5 CM and 300 BO.
Any suggestions?

Using a RCBS neck sizing die for 308 and 6.5 CM. Using the WFT trimmer for all my bottle neck cases. They build them to SAMMI specs. I can send them 3 or 4 cases that I sized with the neck sizing die and they will build a trimmer to the specifications of the RCBS dies.

Yes, there is an easier way.
Size and trim in one step.

Don't you still have to run a sizing plug through the neck since the Dillon sizes the neck based on the outside dimensions of the neck?

KR can go cheap and use the Lee trimmer system with a hand held drill. I have and use a Dillon but also have the Lee system for most of the rifle chamberings I load.

Dillon says you dont need to.
The increased neck tension is not an issue, as per them.
