I know jack about Enfields, so I thought I would ask the knowledge pool.
From what I can tell, marking, buttpad, flash hider, bolt style are all correct. I know the wood fore end is not.
Is this an actual carbine?

If so, where can I find the correct wood for the front end, including the upper handguard?

Havne't stripped it all the way down yet, but no visible import marks so far.

Need to see the left side of the receiver but looks good so far. Unique pieces are the rear sight graduated to 800 yds and 'pinched' trigger guard housing, besides what you have so far. Sarco advertised wood for the #5, don't know if it is repro or not. What's the side of the receiver read?

Rear sight is 800.
No. 5 MK I on left side.
The pinch on the front end of the trigger guard in front of the mag?

Sarco is sold out, unfortunately.

They have a repro buttstock, but no handguards.

Nice find. I once bought what I thought was an old bubba'd No.1 MkIII for a truck gun. It had been sporterized and was a little beat up. As I cleaned it up, I came to find it was actually a 1918 ShLE III*, that had been sporterized by Parker-Hale with the identifying proof marks from Parker-Hale. The gun has a lot of markings. It's been fun chasing down the origins of them. Enfields have such a rich history. 1918, a hundred years old.
