Just cleaned my 300 BO (suppressed) from shooting maybe 50 to 60 rounds yesterday and the bolt was as dirty as any gun that I have shot. Does yours get very dirty? If not, what powder are you using. I shot a combination of CFE-BLK, H110 and 4227.

What were you expecting? Suppressors make everything dirty as hell.

If you notice with a suppressed bolt gun....when you open the bolt there is a little cloud of smoke that comes out. Like said, shooting anything suppressed will make the gun a litte "sootier".

Suppressed 300BLK is filthy disgusting. Way worse than 5.56 for me. Looks like sand in the lower when I’m done.

I had a rattler for quite a few months. It was nasty, I couldn’t image one that were not piston driven. I never shot it without a suppressor though.

I just pulled apart the BCG on the 300 and put some Gunzillo on it and let it sit for 15 to 20 minutes. It wiped clean. I had questions about Gunzillo

Funny, I have a rattler and think it’s not that bad. Does get cleaned every few hundred rounds.

I loved the little booger but it got the lower filthy. I was running a YHM can on it. Which I ran nothing but subsonic Remington 220gr. in it.

I seldom shoot my 300 without a can so yeah it gets dirty. IMO anything suppressed is going to get dirty a lot faster than unsuppressed, piston guns included.

You want a real mess, shoot a roller locked gun with a can, damn thing looks awful after just one mag!

Welcome to cans. I had the same reaction when I ran my new can on my 300 and other cans on my 45acpAR. They're dirty as heck. Break Cleaner is your friend. I'm still trying to find a good lube that lubes well but doesn't not collect as much residue. Testing out birchwood molly lube on one right now. I don't have a conclusion yet on wear but it has been better than straight gun lube.

I wonder if reloads using CFE would help? Oh yeah you guys are using ARs, I shoot 300BO in a bolt action so I don't have to wroky about gas issues.
