It is amazing the different in an AR-15 when the gas block is actually over the gas port. Last time the AR was a democrats gun shooting single shots. Went to the range today after fixing the gas block and it ran without a hitch.

Also, while at the range I took the CZ 527 that I got from CZFool in 223. Nice only taking one caliber of bullet to the range. This is the first time shooting the gun and had to zero in the scope. The best that I could do is just over 1 MOA. I think by the amount of flash coming out of the barrel, I am going to need a faster burning powder. Was able to hit the 24" steel out to 500 yards with a lot of adjustments to the scope. The ballistic calculator was way off. I am thinking again it is the powder I was using.

Around 1 MOA first time out isn’t bad. Sounds like you’ll get your load dialed in and be fine. That rifle doesn’t have many rounds down it so it should get better.

CZ, I had the Burris scope zeroed in and when I got home I wanted to set the turrets to zero and they would not move. Called Burris and they just e-mailed me a RA to send the scope back. It was too hard to do the math everytime I changed shooting distance. It took my 204 about 100 rounds to settle in. We only shot the gun maybe 50-60 rounds and you could tell a difference in the set trigger by the end of the day.

Had the same issue when I had my 10” Noveske 300BLK barrel cerakoted. The guy that did the work reassembled the upper and the gas block wasn’t locked down.
