TL/DR: Trigger won't reset reliably on my j frame. New springs? Shims? ??

I picked up this Model 60 a few days ago and a bit of advice. If I really work the trigger hard and cycle it double action quickly on both the pull and release, the trigger resets as it should about 9/10. Every now and then the trigger won't reset until I give just the tiniest bit of back pressure (as if cocking) on the hammer.

The same failure to reset will happen reliably (in a bad way) any time I hold the trigger to the back and slowly release. The hammer kinda sorta appears to drag just a smidge on the the starboard (right) side of the frame, but there is no distinct drag line.

I don't recall this problem prior to my removing the cylinder for cleaning. I've had the side plate off and blew out blew out a bit of junk, but have not taken it apart any further. I'm comfy taking them apart, it just doesn't appear to need it other than this issue.

The thumb piece is also more difficult to move than it ought to be.

The rebound spring is probably gummed up. It's an easy replacement if not. Lots of people spray WD40 on guns and it dries to a gummy mess. The return spring on the latch may be gummed up too.

If the muzzle is up the cleaning solutions flow into the internals with all the dirt.
