For those that dont want to click youtube links, the video is a breakdown of a study where a static self defense scenario was given to mock jurors. The scenario was given to multiple juror sets and the only detail changed in the scenario was the tyoe of weapon used (AR, Mini 14, shotgun, pistol).
The video examines the conviction rates and length of sentencing as it relates to the firearm used and the gender of the juror.
Surprise, surprise.
-AR users were convicted at higher rates than the users of other weapons
-Comparing convictions, AR users were given significantly longer sentences than users of other weapons
-Female jurors convicted more frequently than male jurors
-Female jurors also recomended longer sentencing than malr jurors.
