As some of you may know, my stepson Jamey had a pretty nasty accident last July and nearly twisted his foot off. Well, he's at the point of needing to have it amputated, and the longer we wait, the more of his leg he's going to lose. Like many people, he has no insurance, and not having any luck with Medicaid. The car insurance that was on the car that ran over his foot will only pay up to $30,000 and that won't even cover the accrued medical bills to date.
Long story short, we need $25,000.00 cash before UNC will schedule the surgery.
I am organizing a fundraiser for August 20th to raise money for my son's surgery.
So I am putting out the call....
We need corporate and private sponsors, bands, show trucks/cars/motorcycles/tractors, food trucks, face painters, vendors, or you happen to own an inflatables company with bounce houses or water slides, we need your help. If there's some local clubs who would like to organize a fundraiser pistol or rifle match of some kind to help out with this cause, that would be greatly appreciated. The event on August the 20th will be like a small family fair or cookout day , with food trucks, live entertainment, bounce houses, water toys, and a car, truck, and motorcycle show. We are also planning a raffle. If you have any other ideas for this event or would like to help please contact me via PM.
