I currently own some Levi's, but I don't find them very comfortable and they're anti-gun, so looking for something else.

I tried some googling, but most jeans reviews I can find determine quality by how many holes a pair has, how stone washed they are, or how skinny they are.

I don't do tons of outdoors work, but looking for jeans that I can work in and will last me a long time. I'm aware of Duluth, Carhartt, Dickies, and Wrangler, but have no idea which ones are worth buying.

Thanks for any insights.

X2 on Dickies. Walmart near me stoped selling the jean ones and only have these shitty stretchy ones. Amazon has em. They are denim in different colors and I wear them to work as I'm crawling under desks and commute on a motorcycle. They look nice and you won't stink.

I like Lee straight jeans. Price and fit work well for me, especially when on sale.

But honestly...you aren't going to know what fits you best until you try them on. Head out to Penny's, Kohls, or some such and make use of their changing rooms.

For the money wrangler is the way to go. The loose fit ones from Walmart are pretty comfy with lots of room.

Plus you get to say things like “that gives me a twangeler in my wranglers”.

If you want really great jeans type pants that are different colors like khakis Kuhl pants are awesome.

I just stick with Levi, they work well for me and so many different cuts to get the 'right' fit for each person

Wrangler will ship you their non-blue (different colored) jeans for small money . Good website and fast service.

Every pair of pants I own are either Kuhl or Lucky. It’s all I can find that fit my short running back physique and don’t look like clown pants.

Tractor Supply is now selling the Wrangler RIGGs pants as well as the Wrangler Outdoor line, they are actually pretty decent and the synthetic outdoor pants are pretty similar to Kuhl, I got a pair of the heavy duty RIGGs and thyt are just as heavy duty as my Duluth pants at half the cost.

I have several pair of jeans from All American Clothing Co, they are well built, made in USA and depending on what style you get, look very high end.

I've run Riggs and Kuhl. The Riggs is a good cost compromise but IMO Kuhl is better and lasts longer under hard use. And they are more comfortable. I was running the Riggs heavy duty rip stop so that may be part of the comfort difference.

But that said I have a pair of the Riggs Jeans and they are pretty awesome with the double knee and super thick denim material. They are almost as comfortable as the Kuhl

Except they're built by leftist anti-gunners.
Ok.
I love guns, but I also like comfortable jeans. Ive tried different things, but it's difficult to find a pair that I really like. With the company they have about 15 cuts to choose from for guys

For me, 502.

I'll keep getting jeans from them unless someone can show me a better deal on a pair that fits me well.
I pay 25-30 for a new pair and they'll last years.

Carhartt for true work pants as they last twice as long for me but there are diffrent ones they sell and not all are created equal or last as long.

Usually wranglers for more casual wear but do not hold up as well to working in. Have a pair of the wrangler riggs as well that are decent but still have not held up near like the carhartts.

They are the one place where I actually find great sales in my size too.

Anybody that knocks buying their stuff has not tried them. I've tried 5.11, Carhartt, Wrangler, Levi, everything. I've ripped crotches in everything but Lucky. I've never had to get rid of a pair.

I'd rather spend $120 on a pair of Lucky I never have to replace than $40 on apair that lasts 6mo and don't look as good.
I guess I'll be the uppity sounding guy and say that I really like lucky jeans. That said I don't know or care about their politics and mostly buy them at goodwill because they are expensive. But they have a great cut and feel.

Carhartt. Tough as woodpecker lips. Got several pairs that are 2+ years old.

What size are you looking for?

Surprised no one mentioned LL Bean. Like everything else, not as good as they used to be. I used to wear Eddie Bauer but the crotches always wore out before anywhere else. Same with Bean but they have lasted me for many years before blowing out. I dont like heavy denim or double front denim. I had a couple pair Carhartt's but the belt loops would rip out. Just bought a pair of Dickies and Wranglers from Blain's Farm and Fleet. Great etailer.

Lots of good options Ive not known about in this thread!

Good stuff.
