So I’ve been sick as a dog since Saturday night. Pretty sure it’s the flu. Can’t breathe, everything hurts, almost too tired to walk to the bathroom etc. I’ve had to sleep on the couch every night because if I lay down I drown in snot and I cycle between can’t get warm enough to “holy crap am I in a freaking oven” about every thirty minutes.
So with nothing to do but hydrate, urinate, Shiver and bake I decided to cruise Amazon to find a TV show to pass the waking moments in between passing out because I can’t sleep for more than an hour at a time.
I found this previously unheard of gem called JourneyQuest on Amazon and it was free with Prime.
I almost turned it back off after the first 5 minutes because it’s incredibly low budget but I decided to give it a chance and kept watching.
I’m glad I did. I have been laugh/coughing my ass off at it. It’s humor is very much a cross between The Holy Grail and Hitchhikers Guide.
The story is just interesting enough to keep it moving forward and the lines are hysterical. And unlike every time they try to make a hitch hikers movie the actors, while not great, are good enough to pull of the timing of those lines.
Or I could just be delusional from the cough syrup so YRMV. But check it out.
