This was a comment from a thread on a You Tube video. It rang so true to me, I had to get a pencil and paper, and write it down.
Personal sovereignty. A concept most present day Americans cannot conceive. They argue national sovereignty yet have no clue about personal sovereignty.
"...at the Revolution, the sovereignty devolved on the people; and they are truly the sovereigns of the country, but they are sovereigns without subjects...with no one to govern but themselves; the citizens of America are equal as fellow citizens, and as joint tenants in the sovereignty." SERVED OTHER GODS
1 samual 8:8 According to all the works which they have done since the day that I brought them up out of Egypt even unto this day, wherewith they have forsaken me, and served other gods, so do they also unto thee.
I've listened to the hords of many across the globe. Speak of contempt toward America. Yet upon contemplation of any inch of real estate upon this earth. People living with their false gods of idolatry, Buddhist, Hinduism, Muslim, godless atheism, pagan Catholicism, and yes the Jews who rejected their Messiah.
I see a world that has flatly rejected God in every form. Yet the only nation that broke the yoke of satans feudalism. Is the topic of scorn and rebuke. Yes has lost her way. Allowed the scurge of godless liberalism to curse her. And Christians fighting to retain her glorious state. What absurd arguments one hears in rooting for her demise. At which an antichrist system will rise. Joining the ranks of a world awaiting in their destitution.
WE HAVE NO KING BUT JESUS
Notice the warning of serving other gods, meant to be a warning. Yet a generation so lost. The warnings below are but a tiny fraction as to what is experienced today. Amazing what a coveting belly overlooks to gain a seat at the D.C. pig trough.
1 Samuel 8:10 And Samuel told all the words of the Lord unto the people that asked of him a king.
11 And he said, This will be the manner of the king that shall reign over you: He will take your sons, and appoint them for himself, for his chariots, and to be his horsemen; and some shall run before his chariots.
12 And he will appoint him captains over thousands, and captains over fifties; and will set them to ear his ground, and reap his harvest, and to make his instruments of war, and instruments of his chariots.
13 And he will take your daughters to be confectionaries, and to be cooks, and to be bakers.
14 And he will take your fields, and your vineyards, and your oliveyards, even the best of them, and give them to his servants.
15 And he will take the tenth of your seed, and of your vineyards, and give them to his officers, and his servants.
16 And he will take your menservants, and your maidservants, and your goodliest young men, and your asses, and put them to his work.
17 He will take the tenth of your sheep: and ye shall be his servants
18 And ye shall cry out in that day because of your king which ye shall have chosen you; and the Lord will not hear you in that day.
