We work in Scout camps during the summer in muzzleloading and patch round ball, while traditional, isn't the only way to get the kids on the firing line. We modified an Enfield pistol bullet "minie" for use in the generic camp 50cal rifles. With some testing, I'd say we have a winner and we've been using this now for 2 summers and in teaching NRA Muzzleloading.
Does it shoot? Well, here's a group from my CVA "Sewerpipe on a stick"
And yeah, working with kids is sooo much fun with cool muzzleloading rifles.
And for you adults, crow about your shooting and you might get a prestigous award from the Ancient and Noble Order of the Blind Squirrel
