A CZ 75 Compact sure does feel better with slim grips.

A CZ 75 Compact is nearly identical in size to a Glock 48. However, it is quite a bit heavier and just a tad thicker.

Give me that Right Now!!! Why you...I oughta!!!!
I'm in a sellin' mood lately... you could talk me out of it.

It's among the toughest 380 autos ever made, and the only doublestack among them. If yer willin' to ease the hammer down on a loaded chamber, you can use double action on the first shot. It's purportedly drop-safe. I prefer jus' to avoid droppin' it.

Bring it to lunch Friday, I'd like to see it. ;)

A glock is just like a 1911 except that it fires every time you pull the trigger.
I love these simplistic statements... My 1911 goes bang every time I pull the trigger. Is it really a glock?

It is true that glock and many others would not exist without JMB's patented inventions for the 1911.

But we digress, and are impolitely drifting this thread, following my rude hijack. Perhaps we should return to the topic. What do you think? [pinky extended and eyebrow raised] ;)

Totally agreed! Sorry for hijack @Geezer..

One observation, if I may...

CZ fan boys usually take in stride the jokes about hipster guns...because we know what we have is great.

Glock fanboys usually can’t take a joke because they have been defending the same pistol for years.

1911 fanboys are often just like Glock fanboys in that they have been defending the same platform for generations.

That said CZ > All.

Does this go for "fangirls" too?

Well, I need to go fondle my Thin-Gripped-LW-Commander...

BTW, that CZ 83 is also fully amphibious (safety and mag release), and it has an amazingly short single action trigger reset. Mine was made in 2003.

I had a CZ 82, 9X18. Wish I'd kept it.

I have Glocks, CZs, 1911s, S&Ws, Caniks, H&Ks, Rugers, Walthers, Astras, AMTs, Colts, probably a few I can't think of right now and been looking for a Steyr so I try to get along with everybody

CZ has designed a ton of different pistols and rifles. They have one of the best 9mm handguns ever, and one of the best 22 rifles ever.

For designing guns, Glock is a one trick pony. No other company has done so much with one design, or gone so far without coming up with a second hit. Even Kimber reinvented the revolver. It's an interesting psychological phenomenon.

Glock does have a second design and its the G46. This gun is sold to a German Police force only and production is stated for about 3000 guns. What is different is the locking system. It uses a rotating barrel like the Stoeger/Beretta Cougar.

C',mon CD, tha's an option on the original design, not a new gun.

Glock makes one type pistol in many calibers, no rifles, no revolvers, no nothing else, except a special order G46 in limited production.

The world wants to know, Where's the GR-9 carbine that uses G17 mags?
