Anyone else see the teaser video from Atlantic Firearms?

Looks like Kalashnikov USA has finally materialized some of its long-standing vaporware. The KR-9 rifle and KP-9 pistol allegedly ship soon.

Both come with a $1,200 price tag + shipping and transfer. Ooph. BUT ... these look pretty rad and appear to be a more faithful clone of the Russian Vityaz than PSA's new AK-V (and we all know how that initial release went ).

What say you, CFF AK fans? Will you bite? In all honesty, I'm still holding out hope for the AK-V 2.0, and still plan to buy the folding brace version if it indeed gets released. K-USA may carry some clout with its name, but when you boil it down they are just another new and unproven American AK builder with a questionable history.

That triangle folder is sexy as hell though.

It's generally good advice, yes. I am excited to see more options on the market though. Would be even cooler if/when they function well.

Any 9mm carbine that does not use Glock mags is a tough sell.

...unless it's to AK fans. Lots of us have been craving a more accurate Vityaz clone for years. I absolutely hate the way the Glock mag guns look:

For a 9mm AK it should be closer to the real thing:

Function is shit, price is shittier. Call me when Gen 2 is $799 and includes 3 mags.

I'm with @JRHorne, $1200 is way too much when you can buy or build a nice 9mm AR for around $600 or get a CZ scorpion for less than $800. $1200 for a gen 1 gun that's probably going to be nowhere near as reliable is ridiculous. Add in that as an AK it has considerably less aftermarket support, it just is not worth it.
I'd say ~$900 would be a good price.
