Kale

Why has Kale suddenly become so popular?? Craps been around longer than I have, didn't like it when I was a kid and nothings changed...... me nor the Kale.....

I would have thought being in "The Cooking Channel" that this would have been a posts about actual food but apparently I am mistaken..

I eat a good bit of kale. I usually eat it sautéd in a cast iron skillet with onions and olive oil, salt and pepper. I like it.

Similar but we bake it on a cast iron griddle. Good stuff. Ours is trying to re sprout and come back so we might have some more here soon.

Baby Krispy Kreme doughnuts ARE food!!!

Kale? Meh, not so much. When things get so bad I'm having to eat worms and bugs then I'll eat kale too.

As I said in the OP, I like kale. Elaine makes a version of Olive Garden's zuppa toscana, which has kale in it, that is really good.

And kale chips, kale leaves sprayed with olive oil and salted and then baked in the oven, are really good.

Not to mention it's cheap and grows like a weed. I planted it as a cover crop with the intention of tilling it under because nothing else was producing in that spot. It ended up growing waist high. Finally mowed it down. Now it's growing back. If you can't grow kale, something is wrong.
