Kel-Tec RDB-S. Discuss.

It looks interesting, but that front sight looks like it would be very easy to bend or break.

Yeah, that's the only issue that I can see with it is the front sight. I'd rather just install a set of MAGPUL MBUS sights and deal with the short sight radius. I wonder if they're removable?

I did see the ad for this rifle in the latest American Rifleman. They related this rifle to folks drinking their own pee. Trying to sound hardcore, I guess.

Yep, I saw that ad also. I thought it was cheesy as hell.

Zooming in on the pictures of it, it looks like the front one is pinned through the top of the end of the barrel (where it gets fat), like an AR front sight gas block. You can see something at the base of the sight on the left and right views, which I assume is a pin.

The back sight is harder to tell as it looks like there is a QD point at the back of the rail on the right view side (I am assuming it is not one though and just part of the folding/rotating mechanism of the sight). I assume it folds into the rail or back away from the rail...hard to tell. I'm sure it can be removed, just maybe not very easily???

Overall, I like bullpups but this one takes the fugly cake! Don't like those sights too.

Looks like the front is pinned.

Back sight folds to the rear.

Not the actual video, just a screen shot...I like the way this version looks but apparently they are not going with this version but the one above now.

The RDB -not this one -I went back and forth on for weeks after seeing it. Finally pulled the trigger and ordered one yesterday for $859. Will post pics and let you know how it performs when I get it. They seem hard to find -at least it took me awhile to find one. I hope I made a good move.

I've got a coworker who has the normal RDB and he likes it so far. Please report back after you get some time on it!

Six weeks and still waiting -Keltec makes you learn patience that's for sure!

S&W innovation: Let's make an AR-15!
Savage innovation: Let's make an AR-15!
Springfield innovation: Let's make an AR-15!

Keltec innovation: Let's make a 2x4 that poops out brass like a squatting dog!

I like Keltec. They take risks, they try new things.

Not only that but it's ugly as sin. Sure hope it folds back or down or something, it looks like it would have to to use any other optic on the rail.

Anyone ever get the RDB in? Was curious about your impressions of the rifle. Haven't seen one in my LGS's and don't want to get one based on magazine reviews. Interesting in theory, but it's the execution that makes it breaks...

I finally got one -it was a struggle but got on off of gunbroker. I just got a scope zeroed on it -haven't had a chance to shoot it as much as I want, but when I have -I love it!! The lack of brass ejecting from the side is fantastic -that was always a distraction to me. I have had no feed problems yet. Let me get a chance to put more rounds through it and I will keep you posted.

Keltec is being keltec and product is slowly creeping onto shelves. From what I know of most of the survival ones are going to places like NY, MA, and CT where the demand for a out of the box compliant rifle is high.

The regular ones are going for around $800.

I have the RFB and like it. It's not hiccuped yet on any random 308. (I know this is a RDB thread but they're all variations on a theme).

I like Keltec stuff. Innovative and always delivering something new.
