Thank you guys for the continued prayers and support. I don't know anything about this forum. Jerek only showed me how to do these posts so I could keep you all updated. I know ya'll are like a group of brothers to him and for that I am appreciative. Now on to the update...

Yesterday was quite an informational day. Jerek is expected to reach remission after this first phase/hospital stay. As long as this is done, most of his remaining treatment should be completed as outpatient with the goal of keeping him in remission. He began taking steroids yesterday, which he will be on and off of for 7 days at a time. He also began chemotherapy yesterday. He will be receiving various cocktails of drugs throughout his treatment. He received 2 drugs yesterday, which he will get every Tuesday while he is in the hospital. He is expected to receive another drug on Friday. So far, he is handling the drugs well. He is tired, but has not been sick. His levels have also been good so he has not needed any additional platelets, blood, or meds. There are some days (like today) where he will only receive steroids. There will be some days he gets nothing at all. The chemo drugs will wipe out his immune system so he will be highly susceptible to infection. Please continue to pray that he continues to tolerate the chemo drugs well and does not get any infections.

Thank you for the update!

I wish him and you all well! He certainly does have a lot of support and friends. You may be surprised at how far some of these guys and gals will go to help someone out.

Stay strong!

Keep the updates coming. We’re all pulling for him and you guys

Yes, thank you for the update. We know that Jerek will whip this. He has tons of support here.

Now, how are you and the kids holding up? You have a lot of support here, too. Let us know if we can help with anything.

Caitlin...as you (and the folks in this forum) know, you're married to a very special guy. Today's update and seeing him walking down the hall is great stuff! :)

Yes, thanks for the update, and glad to hear he's handling the treatment so well! Great pics.

Thank you for the positive update, so good to hear!

Please keep us posted when you can

One question, Why isn't Jerek posting himself? I imagine he pretty bored there. If it's a matter of having a tablet or a laptop to use we would be able to help out on that front. Just let us know what you need.

Y'all have all of our thoughts and prayers. Thank you for the update. As the gentleman just above mentioned, do not hesitate to post on here anything that Jerek, you, and your family may need. We will step up and deliver.

Thank you, Caitlin.

The Cannon family remains in our prayers.

Great report, thank you for sharing with us. Best wishes and sincere prayers for your entire family.

Great update! And some encouraging information!

I am a firm believer in the power of prayer and positive thoughts. And Jerek and your family are getting a heap of both coming your way from all his "family" here at CFF!

Please give Jerek a BIG HUG from all us here!!

May God bless you and keep you all during this difficult time. Please keep us updated and if there is anything ya'll need please don't hesitate to let us know.

Jerek rockin’ the Southern Thunder shirt at the hospital! LOL

We are praying for you all daily, Caitlin. Please call or text if you need ANYTHING!

Jerek is staying pretty fatigued right now. He tries to sleep at night but the nurses are constantly in and out to monitor him (vitals, labs, random CT scans, etc... And of course during the day hours, the doctor's are monitoring him and he is receiving treatments. He isn't feeling the best and isn't getting a ton of sleep. On the other side of that, he is pretty down in the dumps about all of this. He is really worried about me and the kids and it does get to him. He's used to pulling 115-120 hour work weeks and can now barely get anything done. It's been extremely tough on him to go from one extreme to the other. Jerek is a tough man but I can't imagine being in his shoes. He's my best friend and I am truly lucky to share this life with him.

I will encourage him to interact with his friends on here more. I know he has a ton of support on here and we are truly appreciative for that. It means a lot to both of us. Especially during these trying times.

So umm, would he rather meet me in the parking lot or the hall way out side his room to sell me a shootin iron?

I will keep Jerek and the family in my prayers.

Has he seen this?
