Written permission signed by the landowner or leaser is required to hunt posted land in NC. Does that written permission have to be a paper document or can it be an electronic document such as email or text?

Good question. I’ve always used a pre typed version they just signed and dated. Now that you can simply sign with your device this is more than relevant. If you don’t have the answer yet, I’ll find it.

I asked a retired game warden that question the other day. He suggested that the landowner sign a paper document, photograph it, and send it to your phone. He never really said whether just an email or text would be suitable.
