Please pray for him, with God's help he will beat this. Stay strong Brother!

From his Facebook page:
Ok so it’s time to public ; I was recently diagnosed with follicular lymphoma. I am willing to bet this came from my time in Delta because of the dangerous fumes and toxic chemicals we are exposed to. I say this because I know at least two Delta operators I served with that died from various types of cancer. One was well known as ‘Dalton Fury’ in the book world. I noticed a bump on my left cheek below my left eye awhile back- if you look closely in the Laugo Arms Alien video on my YouTube channel you can spot it. It never got any better, only worse, so after a Covid test ( it came back negative) my new doctor asked about any other issues. I mentioned the bump on my face and he immediately put a series of tests in place to investigate. That is what started the chain of events that led to now - I’m in a Charlotte NC cancer center getting my first chemo. Because of this I have canceled all training classes for the next 7 months ( the projected length of the cancer treatment). The risk of dying from Covid while taking chemo is 20% or 1 in 5. Needless to say traveling was off the table immediately due to the risk of exposure. The good news in all of this is that lymphoma is a very treatable type of cancer with an excellent prognosis. They say I will lose my hair. If so I will embrace that fully and continue filming for my YouTube channel. Unfortunately I will not be able to teach any classes in person for several months - fall 2021 will be the earliest. I appreciate all the well wishers that I know in the industry that have reached out to me to offer support. My wife in particular has really been super supportive thru this process. I’ll keep everyone posted and most likely do a video in regards to my lymphoma in the near future. Thanks to all of you for support over the years and the positive thoughts and prayers on my behalf. I appreciate it more than words can describe. I will absolutely beat this, put it in remission and drive on full speed ahead with all my firearms Industry related endeavors. Stay safe everyone!! # VickersGuide #aztectraining

Cancer sure don't discriminate does it?

I didn't know LAV was a NC guy.

All the best to him.
If he is at Levine that is where I went for my prostate rad treatment and I have nothing but the very best in comments in the treatment I got there.

Prayer for him. I didn't know he was local either, although I did think he was east coast.

I talked to him earlier today on the phone and he was getting chemo as we were talking. He was in good spirits, talking about us getting together to go shooting and how he is going to beat this thing. He has the right mindset and with our prayers, support and God’s help, he will.

Prayers for him, and family and friends, for strength to keep up the fight.

Prayers sent. I had something similar though nowhere near as serious as above. Bump in front of my ear, thought it was some type of pimple and tried to squeeze it. It turned into a sore that would not heal. Went to the dermatologist, turned out to be Basel cell carcinoma. Luckily Basel celll is treatable with just minor surgery.

When you start getting above 50 you need to start checking these types of things and pains out. Never know when it could be something more serious.

02/11/21 update:
Lymphoma update; so during chemo last Monday the lump on my face swelled up much larger than it had ever been before. The second pic is just a few days later - the lump is all but gone! I am absolutely amazed - it feels very strange having my left cheek area return to normal as it hasn’t been that way for the better part of one year. As far as the chemo after effects for me the fatigue roller coaster has been the biggest issue. Up and down one day to the next and sometimes one hour to the next. Fortunately I have stayed ahead of the nausea power curve by taking anti nausea meds religiously a few days after chemo. Another factor that surprised me a bit is bone fatigue- they gave me a white blood cell ‘booster’ shot the day after chemo and the side effect is bone fatigue. Imagine a slight lower back strain that doesn’t go away and that’s what it feels like. Not very comfortable at all. The other thing that is very tiresome is the amount of times you get stuck with needles - I’ve probably been stuck going on 2 dozen times now in the last few months . At least I have a port in my chest which does preserve my veins. Overall I’m very positive and even though I won’t be traveling to teach my classes until the fall or late summer I plan on doing a bunch of videos for my YouTube channel. And I would be remiss if I didn’t thank the countless friends and fans who have reached out with your positive thoughts and prayers !! Thanks to each and every one of you !! It is priceless!! I’ll drive on and stay positive! And all of you do the same ! Have a good one - LAV out.1613053959486.png

This stuff has been jumping on a lot of people here lately.
the longer and healthier people live, the more likely they are to get cancer after fighting off all the other things that would normally have killed them
Everybody dies of cancer unless something else gets them first.

I talked to him yesterday, he is home from the hospital, done with his treatments and is feeling good. He said to tell everyone "thank you for your prayers and well wishes, they meant a lot".

We'll be on the range again soon.
