Last Minute Thoughts For The Meet & Greet

Some early morning thoughts and ramblings.

A couple of weeks ago, a conversation went like this:
Billy: Ronnie Sue is going to get Mike's 15 passenger van so everyone can ride together to Mike's on Friday.
Me: Uh, I think there will be more than 15 going.
Billy: Really? On Friday?
Me: Yep, there's a lot of chatter about people already booking places to stay and a lot of talk about camping.
Billy: I hope you're right, we'll see.

Yesterday, there were 20+ that went to Mike's with some people staying back! This was at 4PM and people continued to come in later.

And, a little word of caution, when Ronnie Sue says, "Get in the van, we're leaving now." , you had better have your ass in a seat. Don't believe me? Just ask @Johnny .

For the ones on the road this morning, have a safe trip and we'll see you soon. For the ones already here, very soon you're going to start smelling breakfast when @garvin fires up the cooker. Garvin is getting up early and cooking so you don't have to. It's going to be great.

For Billy and Ronnie Sue, the owners of Battery Oaks and for myself, one of the owners of this forum, we are all humbled and grateful that so many of you have set aside a portion of your busy lives to come to Conway and share your time with us. We can never find the words to let you know how much this means. For the ones that wanted to come but family matters and previous commitments didn't allow it, you will be missed. Hope you can come next time.
 
I'm stuck at work this weekend. My daughter's competition dance team is performing at Disney in late November and my remaining vacation time is reserved for that trip..... Ya'll have fun and be safe!!!!

RS looks so sweet and gentle, but when she speaks, you better move your ass! LOL.
 
For the Friday Triad area lunch crowd, @Jeppo was meeting @garvin and I for breakfast at 8:30 Friday morning. Jeff pulled into the parking lot at 8:32! He said he got behind a slow moving dump truck and that highway is very busy and I believe him. I think he just likes to make you guys wait on him.:rolleyes:

Also, in addition to all of the greatness of the meet and greet weekend, I got to sample some of Mrs. Jeppo's cookies. There was a conspiracy between Jeff and Ronnie Sue to keep me away from them but, I prevailed. The cookies lived up to expectation.
