I took it upon myself to do a "simple" spring replacement on my 1918 Colt 1911, its a between the wars custom so nobody get apoplectic.........
Recoil and firing pin springs were no sweat, then I got to the sear, disconnector, and grip safety spring.......hello cold sweat and head scratching, but I got figured out.
Only other issue was/is the slide stop plunger and spring....the thumb safety detent went into the new spring like it was meant to, not so with the slide stop detent, but I have a fix for it.
Tomorrow...she'll back together
