I have 2 of them, and I’m not a huge fan. One was given to me by a buddy who worked at Leupold and send me a “blem model” to try out, and I purchased the other to go on a M18 since that’s what the military speced it for.
Pros: window size, glass clarity, dot “crispness”, and the motion activation.
Cons: it’s huge, you need an obnoxiously tall front Sight to co witness. The reticle brightness adjustment is annoying. You have a single button which is in the center of the optic in front of the emitter. So you have to cycle all the way up to max brightness to lower it and vice versa and you can’t tell how bright it’s getting while you’re doing it.
There are a bunch of better choices to go on a pistol that I would choose before the DPP.
I really can’t comment on battery life because the motion activation works well. I don’t use either of mine often and the first one is going strong on 5yrs with the same battery.I agree with Derek8404 and would add the battery life is short compared to other quality red dot sights. I get about 6 months on a battery.
I bought one because they have a veteran discount, it's made in the US, and the DPP has a lifetime warranty. I can sell it and the warranty stays with the DPP. I recently purchased an Holosun SCS to replace the DPP.

That makes sense, I’m sure mine would have been dead long ago, but they can go months without me even touching it.I carry mine daily, so it is activated for 9-12 hours.
Are you interested in selling it then if you purchased the Holosun? If so, how much are you looking to get for the DPP?I agree with Derek8404 and would add the battery life is short compared to other quality red dot sights. I get about 6 months on a battery.

How do the Holosun's stack up durability wise. I know the RMR is the toughest, and the DPP is ok with the metal housing with what I've read. The DPP I've used didn't impress me but I've been a RMR guy for years. That said the new holosuns are pretty great. I personally think they're cornering the market and offering some of the best microdots out there.
I would take a Holosun for duty use over a DPP any day. Take a look over Aaron Cowan’s write up optics, he updates it periodically with new data. There’s a running list of optics he’s tested and how much abuse they’ve survived. How do the Holosun's stack up durability wise. Had one for a couple years and no problems with it at allWould love to hear some feedback on this sight from first hand accounts. I'm very interested in this sight.
