Leupold Delta Point Pro?

I have 2 of them, and I’m not a huge fan. One was given to me by a buddy who worked at Leupold and send me a “blem model” to try out, and I purchased the other to go on a M18 since that’s what the military speced it for.

Pros: window size, glass clarity, dot “crispness”, and the motion activation.

Cons: it’s huge, you need an obnoxiously tall front Sight to co witness. The reticle brightness adjustment is annoying. You have a single button which is in the center of the optic in front of the emitter. So you have to cycle all the way up to max brightness to lower it and vice versa and you can’t tell how bright it’s getting while you’re doing it.

There are a bunch of better choices to go on a pistol that I would choose before the DPP.

I like mine, USA made, the lifetime warranty on an electronic sight is a big plus. Look into other thread(s) here discussing Trijicon’s non warranty.

I agree with Derek8404 and would add the battery life is short compared to other quality red dot sights. I get about 6 months on a battery.
I bought one because they have a veteran discount, it's made in the US, and the DPP has a lifetime warranty. I can sell it and the warranty stays with the DPP. I recently purchased an Holosun SCS to replace the DPP.

I really can’t comment on battery life because the motion activation works well. I don’t use either of mine often and the first one is going strong on 5yrs with the same battery.

Are you interested in selling it then if you purchased the Holosun? If so, how much are you looking to get for the DPP?

The DPP I've used didn't impress me but I've been a RMR guy for years. That said the new holosuns are pretty great. I personally think they're cornering the market and offering some of the best microdots out there.

How do the Holosun's stack up durability wise. I know the RMR is the toughest, and the DPP is ok with the metal housing with what I've read.

All of the drop testing I've seen (Aaron Cowan, sage dynamics) show the holosuns being notably more rugged than the DPP.

I'll pile on to agreement with @Derek8404.. I've got one I picked up cheap/used at the LGS when I bought the big Glawk.
Nice big window and it's currently got a job around here. But I prolly wouldn't do it again. FWIW..

I'm not a huge DPP fan. I do like Leupold for their CS and warranty, but primarily because of function and battery life, I would either save a little and go with Holosun, save a little more and go with Vortex (which also has a great warranty), or spend a little more and go with an RMR. I also did have to sent a DPP back to Leupold because the dot was bouncing around when firing and the circuitry needed to be replaced. Wasn't too bad of an issue, but it didn't help my confidence in them.

Not a fan personally didn’t go well with my astigmatism. Holosun did though for what it’s worth
