I might have bought 1000 round of bullets that I cannot/should not use. I ordered 1000 Extreme 158 Round Noise bullets for my lever action rifle. I was not thinking about the round noise and tubular magazine.

Do you think that they should be used?

I'd load'em. But, then again ... I ain't right either.;)
Seriously, they don't look pointy enough to set off the primers.
Just my opinion, worth every penny.

Take a look at the round nose bullets designed for 30/30 rounds used in tubular magazines.

edit: I see in another forum that you actually got round nose flat point bullets. They should not be a problem.

Just so they aren't very pointed , you should be fine. Pointed = spitzer and the plastic tipped bullets such as Hornady Amax.

I have Marlins in 38/357 as well as 44/44 Mag and the biggest thing I found was the crimp. They need to have a pretty good roll crimp to feed smoothly. If you depend on neck friction you'll be disappointed.......
