Levi Strauss Sticking with Gun Control Push Whether Customers Agree or Not

One of the cousins on my wife's side works for them. They actually pay their employees to protest.

Won't be buying from them again, and haven't in quite a while.

It has long been my belief that businesses should stick to their products. Making clothing doesn't make you an expert on social issues. Brewing coffee doesn't make you an expert on race relations. Running a bank doesn't make you any more qualified to dictate morality than anyone. It personally irritates me, even now, when even my own company spends time, money, and effort on "social" events that have nothing to do with our core business model. If the CEO of Levi wants to educate me on the market saturation of denim products in the US marketplace, then he has my attention. He wants to tell me what non-denim tools I should or should not be allowed to own, then he is just a blow hard.

One day I should send them a letter, something like, “I could have bought 20 pairs of Levi’s. I bought this AR-15 instead.” Include photo of rifle. :D

And post on social media about how well your BUG fits in the Levi's pocket just to drive them nuts. "It's almost like they go out of their way to manufacture the perfect pocket for concealed carry".

@Googyfoot - that's one company. Look at the Trucking Index DJUSTK and we're only off a few points from last year.

Levi needs to support liberal causes. Overpaying to support a cause is about the only rational reason to buy Levi jeans.

You guys are focused on the wrong story...

https://markets.businessinsider.com...sach-apparel-retail-warning-2019-7-1028362259
  • Levi Strauss & Co. sank to a record low on Wednesday after Goldman Sach's issued a warning about the US apparel sector.
  • Goldman downgraded Levi's, PVH, and Ralph Lauren all to "sell" ratings, citing concerns around excessive inventory and the continuation of tough retail trends from the first half of the year
Here's why they're doing this.
They're trying to attract virtue signaling purchases from morons and get their name back out in the public again.

Any publicity is good publicity when people have forgotten you exist.

Only Lee's here, waiting to see if they dump as well as Dick's has !!!!

I only wear Dickies dungarees flex and their carpenter duck jeans both for and away from work. $25 at Wally World for either. Can't beat them for comfort and durability

Umm... why isn't the title of the article, "Levi Strauss Sticking to it's Guns" ??

Carhartt jeans are pricey, but they're tougher 'n a pine knot.
I bought a couple of pair of Carhartts that wore through the back pockets where my light was clipped. Meant to send them some pictures, as others didn't.

Are Texas jeans going to become the official jean of CFF? :D

I’d quit buying Levi’s 20 plus years ago when they started boycotting the Boy Scouts about gays being Scoutmasters and leaders.

I recently discovered Carhartts and love them a lot. Great fit and hide my gun well.
