Little gun advice.

Find a range that hosts a women's night. Drop her off with a wad of money for ammo to try on other ladies' guns.
If there was a chapter of The Well Armed Woman near you, i'd suggest one of their ladies' nights events, but I don't see one in your neighborhood. Check if your local ranges might have their own independent night that is similar.
The tip up barrel berettas (and taurus clones) are common in 22lr and easy enough to find in .32acp. I have one in 25 and it's fun, but anemic. They make one in .380 also, but i don't think i've seen one in the wild.
Yes, the walther pk380 is easy and the S&W remake of it is even easier... but if it's her carry gun that she's going to shoot, SHE needs to be the one to decide by trying a bunch. In shooting (like most things in life) a husband needs to stay out of his wife's way (hard-learned experience here :) ).

Springfield 911 .380. Very easy to manipulate, small, lightweight and feels like a .22 when fired. Pro Shots in Rural Hall, NC has one in their rentals.

I sold one of those last weekend at our shop. They are really well put together pistols.

I've had two SP101s in 327... sold 'em both. They are tough revolvers, but they don't appeal to me for some strange reason.
It is my carry pistol when I go to the barn. I shot it last week just to make sure I would still hit my target with .357 rounds since I rarely shoot it. No problems. If you shoot a semi-auto like I do regularly, shooting the revolver WILL make you follow through if you want to stay in the 10 ring. She's a keeper and a BEAST.
