Live & Learn

Not sure if it is intentional or not but manufacturers of all types of products do a horrible job of differentiating their offerings. I probably grab the wrong thing once a month at the grocery store. Pisses me off. You almost need a long inspection with a magnifying glass these days.
^^^^ This. There is a lot to be said of the inability to convey the value proposition on packaging. This is an excellent example because this is a product to be used in a life or death situation, and they did a horrible job conveying "Why use this ammo?" As well as, "Why not to use this ammo.

I see this as lazy execution of product marketing.

Late to this party, but I learned something new, as well.
I carry HST's as my preferred defensive round in my CZ PCR, my wife carries them in her PPQ, and we NEVER knew they even made this stuff.
We, like many others, have fired a few hundred defensive rounds collectively through our edc's to ensure function. So, now, when I grab a new box for us, we just load and go. Making this mistake has the potential to be very bad.
Thanks for posting this. I'll keep the ol eyeballs peeled a little wider when ordering now.

I have an issue here. If a gun manufacturer builds a .9 mm it should be tuned to shoot standard .9 mm. There shouldn't ever be a need for proprietary rounds to make it function. I may have missed a point somewhere but this ammo seems superfluous.

Yeah, I would agree you missed the point.

A low recoil ammo
Designed for mouse guns
To be used by recoil sensitive shooters.

The gun doesn't need it to function, but the shooter might.

Just thought I'd post a little note before I let this thread die. I discovered why Midway was sold out of my preferred ammunition for my Beretta. They weren't sold out. Remington changed the name on the front of the box and took the name out of the description. But they kept the name on the side of the box. This is what arrived today:

It's the exact same ammunition I've been shooting. This is what the box used to look like:

Why on Earth they would change the name of a classic with such a great rest I don't know.

It looks like you are paying double price for what you can get from outdoorlimited.

Could be. I'll check it out. Thanks Basil.

I second that. Outdoor Limited is the best!!!!!

Seems the micro 9mm handguns are all on the hairy edge... they trade slide weight for spring weight, and have just enough time with the slide back to eject a casing. Some like it hot, most do not.

My Kimber Solo liked it hot, until I broke it in with really hot ammo. Now it feeds anything, but don't limp wrist it.

That's the advantage to 380 mouseguns. They are much more reliable. If'n ya want it to go bang all the time, without worrying about what kinda ammo, and ya don't want much recoil, that's the way to go, 380 auto (9mm Short, 9mm Kurz, 9mm Browning).

However, even though it's not helpful to anybody but us few... the HK P7 9mm will feed anything, hot or cold, because the gas system makes it self adjusting to the power of the ammo. Just sayin'...

Yep. I can get a box of 50 for $19.00 from Outdoorlimited vs a box of 20 from Midway for $23.00. So that's a "no brainer". Plus they're local and within driving distance. I'll still use Midway since they're a dealer for other things I shoot that are proprietary that I can't get local. I appreciate the heads up Basil. I never knew those folks were that close to me......... Dave

I was there today picking up some goodies for the weekend. After your first order, you'll be hooked!

Not that anyone would care, but I thought I'd post an update. Finally found time to get back out to the range since I started this thread and run my normal ammunition through my 92FS. Fired 150 trouble free rounds through it today and it operated flawlessly.

Just remember to read the fine print and make sure your reading glasses are on if you have them when buying your ammo.:)
