Live minnow, Banjo minnow and all things swim baits!

What was the name of that worm/jig that was on TV and it swam away from you? I have some in a box somewhere. They were great but I cant find them anymore. Ill take a pic when I get a chance.

Flying Lure

I used to use a flying lure for dock fishing. It was pretty good at that. Really no other reason to own one. Used to catch a lot of fish off docks in the summer.

I had great luck using a 7.5" Culprit Red & Black shaky tail worm hooked weedless style with no weight. Just let that think sink and jerk it every once in a while. That caught many a large and small mouth on some local drainage ponds.

I've tried poppers and such out on Lake Norman with no luck.

Topwaters have their time and place. Back of creeks and creek arms in the fall when the bass are chasing bait fish is usually a good time to break out a topwater like that. I've also done well when the bluegills are bedding and the bass are coming in to eat some small bluegills. think that is usually post spawn and late spring. I would do that at Harris lake in between the shore line and the weed beds and get some nice fish.
