I came across an LMT Defender 2000 LEO trade in I am considering. All I know about LMT is that they are highly thought of rifles that seem to be worth the price tag. How do they compare to LWRC (being as they are both piston guns)?

LMT's are well made.
A LEO trade in is probably a good idea. Think about it- how often do most LEO's get to actually fire their AR's??? Not all that often, so wear will most likely be minimal. Additionally, since piston guns get less hot than their DI counterparts, there should be even less wear.
As for comparison with LWRC, you wont get AMBI controls...
There not as many high end piston manufacturers. I own both POF and LWRC rifles, and they are ABSOLUTELY worth their high end price tags...
