Stepping into the silencer world, form1 can for an ar9. Do I load rounds as usual or is there an adjustment(s) I need to make?
Thanks for the reply. I am aware that for a 300AAC pistol they need to be sub sonic but was not sure about a 9mm pistol. I was not sure if I needed to reduce the amount of powder.Steps are the same. Only question is how fast do you want them to go. Obviously fast enough to get out of the barrel while stable but slow enough to be sub sonic and still function the gun correctly.

Thank you sir.how fast is yer 9mm going?
doesn’t matter the caliber, sub sonic is sub sonic is sub sonic.
if you’re super sonic on the 9mm sure reduce the load.
Thanks for the reply. Found a couple articles on subs and they were saying to use 147's and Trail Boss. I will get some coming, I have only loaded 115's and 124's and will look for some TB at the Raleigh gun show this weekend.Since you didn't state your current load data it's hard to say if you should just reduce the powder, that could cause a problem. Generally people load heavy bullets with fast burning powders which explains the popularity of 147's in subsonic ammo.
I had to reach back in the recesses of my brain to remember where I saw them (early onset of CRS ) and it was Bayou Bullets that has it. The problem with the really heavy bullets in 9mm is having to seat them deep enough to pass the plunk test, or fit the magazine, and then having to deal with the coke-bottle affect of the bullet, but it might be worth a try. Load data will probably be non-existent for a bullet that weight as well. Thanks for the reply, was not aware of anything heavier than 147.
Thank you sir.@Tatershooter
Stick with 125-147g projectiles and powders like Titgroup, IMR Target, 231, HP 38 ect. If you go over 147g projectiles you’ll just be paying more for lead that you dont need to for recreational shooting.
