The 2 LGS I frequent the most wont sell anything but factory mags except for AR’s. All it takes is one that won’t feed correctly and the aggravation and having to replace kills the little profit they make according to them. Not condoning the higher prices, just passing along their reasons. Personally I’ve had a lot of problems with aftermarket mags for mini-14s. At least half won’t feed reliable and the lips get bent out of shape much easier

Thing with aftermarket for CZ is that Mecgar makes all of them that I am aware of.
These blue follower/anti friction coating ones are under 30$ and are better in every way than the factory blued metal base mags. Drop one of those in the concrete and it gouges metal and makes for sharp edges and ugly scars.

You can still get CZ factor mags for much less then $50 each, even with shipping.

OK for you young guys, gun shops have to sell at a big mark up to keep the lights on. It wasn't that long ago that gun shops were closing like mad. If you want to have LGS you need to pay more. If you cannot pay more buy online. But don't give the guy to many complaints. Especially if you like to go in there and hang out.

Dont know exactly which product he was selling, but the. CZ factory mags are expensive. They might be over $40 by now.

Like said above, MecGar mags are much cheaper and the make them for CZ. Same product without the CZ logo and packaging.

Shop local when it makes sense. Pay more when you can afford it. But online companies employ people too. When I order ammo from Outdoor limited and they ship it for less than the LGS, I’m still keeping Americans employed.

I'm all for paying more for local. I'm good with the reality of brick and mortar.

But here in the land of the $600 glock. It's hard to justify spending that much more:(

I make it a point to buy "something" every time I go into a LGS but when ammo, mags and accessories are almost universally double online prices, it's tough for a poor like me.

Hell the only pawnshop in town doesn't even haggle on used guns... They had a S&W sigma not to long ago. Tagged at $375:eek: Asked about cash bottom dollar. $375 otd..... the new versions can be had nib for $300 I believe.
