I reload on a Hornady LNL press. I just picked up a bullet feeder which I want to add. I am running a powder cop right now but was thinking of switching to a lockout die instead since it is stupid proof once set up correctly. Here’s my problem. Only have 5 stations. First is decappin/review die, 2nd is case expander die, 3rd powder drop, 4th powder cop and 5th seater/crimp die. The bullet feeder will need to go where the powder cop is.
so basically am I right when thinking I can’t run a bullet feeder and a lockout die or powder cop at same time?
Thanks for any help

You would need to change to a powder through expander to free up a station. Hornady makes the parts for this to go with their powder measure where it expands at the same time as charging.

That makes sense. Thank you and I will look it up.

In the container with the bullet feeder die is a powder through expander. That goes into the powder measure and expands during the powder feeding step. Take your time, it is a little hard to set up and the directions are not clear. You have to make gross adjustments by threading the powder measure into the press and finer adjustments using the ptx stop.

The third station is for the powder cop, fourth bullet feeder, and seat and crimp on the fifth.

Actually just found the powder through expander. I looked it up to buy on online and a review said it comes with the bullet feeder. Went to garage and sure enough you had it right there for me. Appreciate it! One step closer!
