Ive been dropping the extra weight, under 200 again :).

But my cholesterol is up. Doctor put me on medication for it (oldest brother had a heart attack a couple months ago.)

So, my last visit, it was the lowest I’ve weighed in at the doctors in 10 years maybe?

So she’s about doing things naturally, and said in a few months if I continue to drop weights and my cholesterol gets back to normal, she’d stop the medication.

So, cardio is a must, and I really need to get back to weight lifting.

What’s a good diet plan for dropping bad cholesterol?

My wife lost a lot of weight, she is type 2 diabetic, follow that meal plan, watch your carbs and sugar intake.
Four to six smaller meals per day and you will not stave and the weight will come down slowly.

Seriously ... cut foods and drinks with white sugar or that corn syrup stuff (sodas, sweet tea, etc) and processed flours (white bread, buns, cookies, cakes, etc) and you’ll be surprised on weight. As to healthier cholesterol foods ... fruits and vegetables especially raw vegetables or steamed and the blasphemy ... easy on the bacon and such. Also exercise is good for lowering cholesterol most of the time so walk as much as possible ... park away from the door and walk, take the stairs, etc along with any other exercise routine you can keep to.

I’ve cut the sugar, and working towards a natural diet.

My triglycerides dropped from over 300 down to 45 eating bacon, sausage, pork, steak, lamb.
Cut way down in carbs. Increased exercise.
No medication needed.
Fact: lard lowers the really bad small particle LDL, raises good cholesterol, HDL.

LDL was 199. 100 is normal I think.

My cholesteral was 250 or something. Sugar was hight, bp high, everything high. Doc put my on lipitor. I got angry super easy. Did some research, it's called lipitor rage or staton rage or something. Doctors uniformally ignore it. I quit the stuff immediately and went on low carb. Bacon and sausage mostly, six seven pounds a week at least. Lost 20lbs and ALL of my numbers were normal in six months.

My triglycerides were 700+ 15 years ago, LDL over 200.
Today my trigs are normal and my HDL is normal.
Dropped almost 35lbs by eating salads and no drive up windows.

Lipitor prevents your brain from getting the fat and cholesterol it needs to function properly.
This class of drugs are also linked to dementia and Alzheimer's for this reason.
Low fat diets are similarly linked to increased rates of clinical depression and other mental health disorders.
Fat in the diet is good and healthy. Particularly animal fat, which explains why vegans are bat5#it crazy.
