Looking for SC CCW class, but just the legal part

Hi Everyone!

I recently moved to Charleston, SC from Rhode Island (goodby Northeast!) and am very excited to be here! I'm an NRA certified firearms instructor, and want to apply for an SC carry permit. I see that I'm only required to take the legal portion of the training. Can someone point me toward an instructor who is willing to teach just that portion of the required training?

Prob easier/cheaper just to waste the 2 more hours for the range time than to find someone willing to sign off on you without it.

A few years ago SC went from 2 separate tests (1 on legal and another on firearms) into one blended test that incorporates both aspects. Out statute on CWP are actually horribly written, and don't take into account the changes that have been made over the years. We had some major changes effective August 15th of this year (2021), i.e. the state no longer charges a fee for the permit, which weren't effectively communicated.
