Low, left....solved?

Have not seen any info about what sort of gun you are shooting. The principle of trigger control doesn't change between different guns, but learning it on a more manageable handgun helps. A Ruger
Mk ll, lll or lV with a 4 inch bull or target barrel ( or any similar pistol) is a great teaching/ learning tool. Minimal recoil, and muzzle blast, good size grip , cheap ammo and it will not wear you out so fast. I shoot several handguns when I go to the range but I always start with my .22 to warmup.

Sorry, I carry and shoot a Sig p238. (I shoot other guns as I get new advice and ideas and get offered them to try out.) Most of the responses are from people who have been on this learning journey of mine for over a year...lol....they've been dealing with me all this time, poor things, and have helped a lot. Welcome to the party!

Most of my time is with the Sig. It seems one-handed shooting is the best way to shoot it if I want to be near the center of a target...lol. I'll ask my coach about a .22, maybe rent one tomorrow and see what happens. Oddly enough, I can be closer to the center with a couple of other guns, neither of which I own!
Thanks for weighing in. All help is appreciated.

IMG_20190120_102646440.jpg Finally getting these posted. This is my lesson 1-17-19, shooting one hand, left and right hand. Can't do that with both hands, at least not consistently, no idea why!

IMG_20190120_103941529 (1).jpg This is the next day, also with one hand, left and right.

Very nice!

I can relate with shooting a Sig p238 single handed. A friend has it and I shot it once. All I could think of was trying not to have my finger in front of the barrel. My P64 is a small moon by comparison. I have other pistols which clearly were designed to be shot single handed: there is not place to put the other hand so any of it touches the grip.

Well, I don't have to worry about my finger getting out in front of the gun, but I guess you have big man hands! But as I've been shooting some bigger guns, I have realized how small it really is...lol. I still love it, though, and will just shoot one-handed from now on! Lol. Seems to work for me!

Look like pretty good targets to me. Take into consideration you are shooting a short barrel defensive handgun, not a bullseye weapon. Cloverleaf shot groups usually result from thousands of rounds years of training and tuned guns. Be safe have fun practice practice practice.

Maybe I missed it, but what solved your low-left shooting?
I see you mentioned you were better with one hand, but didnt see what helped you improve the low-left

Went to the range today, it was cold, but I did the one-handed shooting again....till my hands froze!
I'll go again Thursday.

Apparently, I shoot better one-handed, and that has helped my shots keep nearer the center of a target! I still need to get that with 2 handed shooting, though, so low left isn't really solved...lol...not completely.
