Does anyone remember him? I went to his store one or twice and later found out he closed the store, stopped making lead bullets, and was selling reloading stuff from his house or something. But that is as far as I remember; after that I have not heard from him.

I mention because I wanted to get some magnum pistol primers

He comes by from time to time. Doesn’t post anymore. Mostly lurks behind the scenes

Send him a PM. Don’s a fine person, he just turned a hobby into a part time business and as usually happens, it consumed him. He wisely bailed before becoming a bitter old man.

I tried sending him a text message via cell phone a few months back and then placed a phone call but his number was no longer his number. Does he maintain a log-in here on this web site?

I thought he did, but his old user name doesn’t show up under members. I don’t know.

Do you even know Don he is a bitter old man, and I miss seeing him around. Good dude.

After he left, he came back and erased all of his posts.

Back in the day, Don was always having a great time with the back & forth.
Then he started his business and it seemed to take off pretty good. He even managed to hang in there during the great recession when most outfits of his nature collapsed.
As with all business's that start to grow, so did the workload, along with the appearance of the tire kickers and the nugget customers.
That's when I noticed he didn't have that same enthusiasm anymore. I genuinely believe he intended to offer good service and products and prices, but people are complainers and I think he became disillusioned with that.
From what I could tell, it was then that he threw all the papers up in the air and said eff this, I'm out.

I think he changed his user name here from Lucky13 to Ammoparts, and his site was ammoparts.com. You might try that. Good luck and tell him we all say hey.

Basically this.

Don is a great guy and I always enjoyed spending time at the shop, using his bullets, and having lunch with him at times.

But yes, his hobby turned into a business that started to drive him nuts. A combination of spending hours educating people on reloading only to have them run off elsewhere to shop mixed with people spreading rumors and talking trash eventually caused him to just say “screw it” and move on. He has a successful career already and just put making bullets back into its place as a hobby.

It’s a big loss for the gun community to have someone local who did good work for an excellent price.

This is how I remember Don. I've been to a few meet and greets and Don would really keep you going. He's one of the good ones. I heard him say "anything for the joke" and he means it. I don't know how well that would go here. The last time I saw him was at a gun show. His table was swamped I hate it didn' work out for him.

Shot a lot of green 9mm from him. Great prices and friendly service. No complaints whatsoever. I hope it works out ok for him. I know dealing with the public is a major PITA.

My mailman doesn't miss him (man, could he densepack those small flat rate boxes) but I do too!

My mailman, on my last order of 3000 pieces of 300 BLK, drove to my house, opened his door and pushed the box out onto the ground.
Can't say I blame him too much, that sucker was heavy.

I’m quickly burning through my last green pills. Gonna miss hearing “What the hell is that?” At the range.

I wish I knew how to reach Don...
I know an old lady whose husband was an A&E. He died and left a lot of expensive tools.
She is looking for someone who could purchase them from her.

If you use Facebook he is on there sometimes.
