Just bought a new firearm chambered in 30 carbine.

Found someone local to me selling this: https://www.armslist.com/posts/1095...o-can---30-cartridges-carbine-ball-m1--lc-72-

How is this ammo? Is it a good deal?

Here is what I bought. For you purists try not to puke.

Is that a Tailhook pistol brace on it?

It’s a new Inland made pistol with a 12” barrel, sage chassis, and adjustable tail hook brace.

I picked up the transfer last week at my FFL. Now I just need ammo to try it out. It should be a lot of fun and if it runs well will need to invest in some mags and a red dot for it.

It seems solidly built with no rattle and once I greased the action it is quite smooth. The pop up sights are metal and well made.

Lake City brass 1972. If it is a full 1350 rounds at the $300 price , that's. 22 cent each. You can't load it for that.

My only concern would be getting it from Colorado to here.

I’m in CO, for now. Trying to get hired so we can move back to the Carolinas.

Being ignorant of surplus ammo I wanted to make sure this is decent stuff.

Did you make it to the range, @matttahoe53? How'd it go? I'm really interested to hear how this RoboCop-looking gat shoots.

It was great. Got it sighted in at 25 yards (max distance at the range). Once I ran a couple magazines through it the action was super smooth with no feeding issues. The ammo I picked up was perfect.

This is a keeper. Now to get a red dot and some more mags.
