I want to get my pastor a copy of the rifle he carried in Vietnam. From what he has told me and described he would have carried the A1 variant. I would like it to be as close to what he had as possible. I'm looking for some help sourcing a complete rifle or the parts to build one. Any suggestions on where to start?

The A1 rifles (and uppers) have been out of stock for a while, but PSA does have the H&R 604 'Air Force' style rifle in stock right now. The major difference between this and the A1 is the lack of forward assist.

Gray M16A1 rifles are in stock right now at PSA. They're not likely to last for very long.
