I ran across a Brownells M16E1 clone for $860 and I’m having a really hard time NOT buying it, it’s one of those situations where I don’t have a need for another 5.56 AR but damn I want it sooooo bad lmao, truth be told I do not have an extra $900 on hand but I can put down $700 now finance the remainder, again I know I shouldn’t but man, I am struggling with this one, bad......


Talk some sense into me, or convince me to buy it anyways!!! Lmao
 
I would like to buy one of those myself. Was issued a XM16E1 with 5th SFGA from 84-87' then turned it in for a new M16A2.

Hey if you’re going to reach out for community support, you may as well ask people that will suffer the same uncontrollable sickness as yourself lol.

I have not ordered one “yet”, I managed to stave off the “spends” for now by focusing on other projects and finding a public range that has steel from 200 to 600 yards, it’s been just distracting enough to allow me to focus on other things, I’ll definitely be picking up a clone at some point but I was having a major moment of weakness and I needed community support!
 
I bought one of their Carbine uppers to build a retro look a like, buy the rifle, they use NODAK SPUD uppers and lowers and good high quality parts for the rest, you won't be disappointed
