I saw in chat where @DrScaryGuy mentioned mags for the M1A.
Checkmate are the only ones to buy and they don't cost much more. You can get them direct. Checkmate's are mil-spec and have the proper welds. They make Springfield's OEM mags.

ETA - Stay away from the ProMags. Generally, Meggar's tend to be good. They OEM for some companies. But, I don't know if they make any for M1A.

CMI does make some good mags but OUCH at $35 a pop. I remember when 44mag.com used to have them for $20… the days of yore I guess.

Only thing better is USGI… 😁

$35 is cheaper than you'll get them for in about any brick store

And have you priced original USGI??

You can get Checkmate's in 10 mag armorer packs for a couple of dollars less.

Checkmate mags have a smoother finish on the outside than Springfield marked ones. They're the same, but different. Springfield mags are rough.

Here we are splitting hairs over a couple dollars between magazine brands and this joker comes in and says 'just buy a 10 pack for extra savings"
He's got a career in politics, i tell you hwat.

Still beats the bad old days of new in the wrapping USGI magazines at 50 bucks a pop (or more) during the ban....
