Is there anything special to take into account when loading M2 AP in 308 fir a bolt gun?
Use FMJ load data?

I got a whole bunch of 30 caliber tracer bullets years ago and wondered about the proper load data since they seem to be long for their weight. I looked at a variety of data sets and decided that I would concentrate on the data for Barnes and Nosler Partitions since they are both a little longer than regular cup and core bullets. I worked up to about 2,600 f/s and had no problems other than setting the woods on fire with one round.

If they are pulled from surplus WWII ammo, they will not be very accurate. I bought a bunch of them back in the late 80's early 90's could not get better than 3 MOA in bolt gun and Garand. I loaded them up using 165gr data. I still have about 1K of them, saving them for the end of world

That's some solid advice there. Keep in mind longer bullets generally like to be spun faster too.
