PSA offically opening up the pre-order for the M4A1 carbine stripped lower. Please send the following info to Josiah @ palmettostatearmory.com Title: M4A1

If you have ever done any cloning, you know what this means. Limited time offering. No third pin hole for the auto sear. Cost around $50

As stated its all about the markings for a cloner. If you want to be as correct as possible without paying $20K for a real M16 lower which would still only give you auto instead of semi as the roll mark would still be wrong for a M4A1 gun. The NFA registry was closed before these were available. PSA lowers will be about $50. A Colt M4 Carbine lower without the US Property marks is going to run you $200-300 just for a stripped lower.

Granted there are going to be couple things that will always be off from a issued gun. IE 100% markings (Colt/FN infringements on their logo) and happy switch. The other stuff we can replicate. As someone who has serviced 24+ yrs and 11 yrs contracting down range, I would like to replicate ie Clone the guns I've carried since the Federal Govt has infringed my rights to allow me to have what I've carried. Not WWII anymore where a service member brought home his guns after.

Well, I finally received a confirmation email from PSA today. The email simply said: "confirmed"

Hopefully this will happen soon
 
No I do not. That Aero has the correct selector markings for a M16A4 but the "Property of USA" and "MOD M16A4" is wrong as a clone. If not a clone then enjoy.

Thanks. I sent Josiah an email and we’ll see if he answers.

I would’ve already ordered the Aero, but the $10 FFL processing fee irked me a bit. But it is free shipping, so maybe I don’t worry about it.

Josiah said they’d be out “in about 4 weeks”...and priced $50-ish.
 
BTW...Josiah said another email would come out tomorrow to everyone that was on the list. Not sure how much advance notice it’ll be this time, but it beats doing this:

I had two in the check out, selected the FFL and doing shipping when it went to Out of Stock. See how it goes on May 1st. By the way it was 0130 when it was 1700 there.

Yeah, I’d gotten as far as checking the box on the last screen to accept Terms & Conditions. When I hit the final Submit (or Place Order, or whatever it says) button it kicked me out. :(

Fingers crossed for today. This lower is all I need to finish my son’s first rifle. (Probably snag an Approval lower at the same time...already in my cart)
 
These were back in stock as of 5:00PM ET again and the email I received said there would be other batches when this one sold out.

I was able to get my order completed after several refreshes.

I still had them in my cart from yesterday. Took the dog out to poop and completely forgot about 5p. While she’s squatting I checked my phone...5:02p. Went through checkout and declined, some issue with the card. Noticed I’d missed the exp year by one from the drop down. Uggh. Tried again and got it. Whew!
 
Evidently they were back in stock this morning for a little while, around 8a ET.

And PSA is looking at making other clone lowers, would like a correct M16A4 lower. Got my two M4A1s ordered.

Aero has nice stuff. But their M4 Clone has several “errors” that even a non-cloner like me can see.

1. Safety selector options aren’t right
2. “Property of” wording isn’t correct

That doesn’t even get into the nit-picky stuff of font style and size and who knows what else.

I didn’t buy mine to build a clone. I bought it because M4 is the only thing my 12yo son knows from Fortnite. :D
 
Picked mine up today and it’s a good looking lower. Really sharp engraving.

Also got this added over the trigger pins:
To: Lucas
From: Dad
May 2019

Going to go ahead and cover that engraving and a couple other spots with painters tape. Get my son to help me put the lower together and attach the upper, plus sights and red dot. Then have him remove the tape and figure out he just built his own AR. :cool:
 
Just ordered mine. I have a Colt M4 barrel and stripped upper that may wind up one one of these. We shall see.

I would really like an M16A4 marked lower. I have a PSA A4 upper already built as an A4 clone, complete with FN CHF barrel and Knights rail set. Was going to put it on a BCM lower, but now I think I’ll wait.

Friday is the day. Wife informed us she’s going out with a friend for a pedicure and then sushi. I already gave the boy a heads-up I need his help.

It’s going to be rough for him, as he wasn’t allowed on his XBox/PS4 this last weekend (and is not allowed to play during the week)...so Friday will be his first chance to get back online. But I think the end result will be worth it.
