Yugo 24/47s and m48s just aren't as cool to me as Makarovs. Its the intermediate length actions of the yugos that are a little bit of a buzz kill for me (I wouldnt sporterize a perfectly good yugo, but if I had a molested one I couldnt put a stock on it I'd be in love with because of the action length.) Of the original condition 98s, I'd be more apt to let the yugo go first.
There was a time when makarovs could be had for $200, but also yugos. These days I suppose they're about the same price. I haven't seen any big shipment of yugos come in for awhile, but wouldn't say they're uncommon. Bulgarian makarovs have been coming in in little bursts the last few years, and who knows when that will stop. I would happily trade someone my yugo for their makarov, unless that yugo was a plain old m24 (not 24/47) or one of the snipers.
