Male student in custody after shooting at Noblesville, Indiana middle school

Middle schoolers shouldn't be allowed to purchase weapons.
In all seriousness how these kids are getting their hands on weapons?

1) Once again they were stopped when they encountered force.
2) How did a middle school kid get access to a gun like that?
3) What is this about threats directed at the high school where the kids were taken? There seems to be more to this story.
4) reportedly sixteen shots fired. Two injuries. What sort of gun were they using? Thinking logically, they probably aren't very proficient in handgun shooting, so I doubt if they reloaded, meaning it was a handgun with a fairly large capacity.

Stealing them from their parents more than likely. Sandy Hook kid killed Mom for hers. This last one stolen from Dad

Mike is right, my question was rhetorical. Most parents are responsible gun owners, it is the irresponsible parents that know they have problem kids and do not take the appropriate measures to lock their weapons.

And just where are they getting the idea to do this and ideas for how to carry it out?

THE MASSIVE FLOOD OF MEDIA OVER OTHER EVENTS ...

Yes, they get some ideas from video games but GTA, Halo, etc are not about shooting up schools. I will also throw the social media sites in here also ... Twitter, Facebook, etc. These kids have something in them that is switched on by the constant barrage of media when a tragedy happens that makes them think it will do something for them, make their problem go away, make them famous or such.

"Authorities declined to name the suspect and victims in two press conferences Friday"

Wonder how long they can keep his name out of the press?
Also, I would like to shake Mr. Jason Seamans hand.

You know there are no problem kids. Just look around here, every ones kids are angles and know not to mess with dad's guns. The bad ones are always some other peoples kids.

I think what we are experiencing has a lot to do with the hippies of the 60's. They resented their parents stricter methods of child-rearing. So they became lax with their kids in the discipline department, those kids grew up with the same approach, and now the hippy grand-kids have gone totally off the rails.
The spare the rod/spoil the child method is coming home to roost.

one report indicates Mr. Jason Seamans initally threw a basketball at the perp.... reckun Mr. Jason Seamans was a dodgeball champ and the perp had experienced that feeling before?

congrats to Mr. Jason Seamans on diffusing the situation.
