Not really a “season” but it will help bridge the gap until the fall for season 2.

“The Mandalorian is Disney Plus’ breakout show, and now it’s set to receive an in-depth, behind-the-scenes look in a new eight-part documentary series exclusive to the streaming platform. The series will premiere on May 4th (otherwise known as Star Wars Day). New episodes will premiere every Friday.“

Season 2 is supposed to air in October and will feature Ahsoka Tano as a new character. There’s also rumor of the kid who played Boba Fett in the prequels (the one who watches his dad he decapitated) to play grown-up Fett in season 2.

WHERE IS IT?!?!?!?!?!

It's live now, they're calling it "Disney Gallery / Star Wars: The Mandalorian"

Maybe this will help the Disney stock I bought recently :) Enjoying the series as well.

Still enjoying this one...

Wait...a new season is on!?!?

No. It’s a behind-the-scenes or “how it’s made” type series. I’ve found it interesting.

Lots of discussions with the different directors, producers, actors, visual effects people, etc, sifting around a table...but then also scenes from when things were being filmed to expound on what’s being discussed.

I've seen 2 episodes- still trying to get past all of the back-patting and worship of each other... maybe the other ones are better.

Meh... Just get us more content. The Mandalorian is awesome but they've literally not put out anything else worth watching...

The final season of the Clone Wars was very good. The last 4 episodes were amazing. Order 66 and how Asoka and Rex survived was interesting. The final season was epic.

The best part of the discussion for me is how much Dave Filoni knows about the Star Wars universe and how he learned it directly from Lucas.

His breakdown of why “The Dual of The Fates” is pivotal is amazing. The movie ad a whole still sucks but the concept that the “Fate” of the Star Wars universe is set in motion because of the death of Qui-Gon Jinn is interesting if not mind blowing.

We watch a lot of Filoni stuff around here. Enjoyed hearing him at Star Wars Celebration a couple years ago as well. Supposed to go again this year, but since it’s in August in Anaheim, we’re assuming it’s not happening. They just haven’t canceled it, yet.

My wife is the big fan of SW. Most of the details are lost on me...but it’s really neat knowing there’s a reason behind most of the stuff, even if I don’t grasp it.

ETA: evidently the 2020 celebration was canceled about an hour ago

Predictions:
Ahsoka Tano will die season 3. They'll want to kill her off, so they can explain why she wasn't in the sequel trilogy.
The rumors I read mention some guy named Cobb Vanth wearing Boba Fett's armor. So, the 'Boba Fett' we meet is Cobb Vanth.
Temuera Morrison, who will portray the real Boba Fett, will show up in a cameo, as a retired Boba to provide advice. I doubt we will see the real Boba Fett in action.

@Chuckman

did y’all end up watching this? (you discovered it existed in the Season 2 thread)
