Map: Shooting Ranges in North Carolina including NC Wildlife operated, public and private. Searchable by county.

FYI, for the private ranges go through their website but ignore the contact person. I have no idea who the contact they listed for us is. And they are not a member of our current board. That info will be out of date quickly it seems.

Cool that they have a compiled list though.

There is an email contact to update their data.

does anyone know what the targets consist of for the 2023 NC Wildlife .22 Challenge Series?

it's a 3 hour round trip for me to get there, and the hours are 10am to 4 pm so this means a day off work ... but the course-of-fire does not seem too terribly difficult from the limited description

Rules

1. Participants may use any .22LR rifle of their choosing.

2. Front support (bipods, bags) and rear support (squeeze bag, mono pod) are permitted.

3. Lead sleds or vises are not permitted.

4. Participants must use targets and target stands provided by the range.

5. All range rules must be followed.

Challenge

Participants will shoot at 14 targets at 50 yards and 1 target at 100 yards. Targets will only be shot once, and participant will be allowed 20 shots to hit all 15 targets. If there are more than 20 shots on the board, the participant will be disqualified and can try again another day.

How it works

Shooters may participate in the challenge once per day until they complete it. If the shooter has completed the challenge successfully, and staff has verified the target, the shooter will be awarded a hat and a patch for the month’s challenge. Hats will only be awarded once per year and only upon successful completion of your first challenge. All other awards will be in the form of monthly custom patches.

Does bass pro shops really have a range here?

Edit scrolled down and see it says 3-d pop up archery. Still don’t know where that is there

Thanks, that's exactly what their website says. ;-)

My question is: What are the fifteen targets?

Are they 12" diameter steel gongs, or B-8 paper bullseyes, or ... ?
I get the impression I am 'just supposed to know' and sadly, due to inexperience, I do not.

I haven't done it, but if you get the PDF version of the rules, it's a ring target, 10 as the bull down to 5 on the edge.
