Starting to mess with my 22/45, picked up a PA Micro Dot.

The Volquartsen trigger upgrades are out of stock.

Haven't got to take it out yet, but so far:

Pros: it's lite, even with the red dot, the 1 button take down is flipping awesome.
Cons: doesn't share mags with older gens, the bolt release is a bit of a pain to get with one hand, and I've never been a fan of ambi safeties, but it doesn't wear on my hand..

Hoping to take it out and get the red dot sited in, also need my stamp back for the Oculus.

I worked on one a little for a friend and I was very impressed. Just the takedown method should crush man many years of that being an issue for some.
I thought everything about it was superior to my mark 3's. Quality /machining seems tighter/nicer.
I love my M3 but need to pick one of these up for a new open gun.

I picked up the Tactical and it has the same pros and cons. Having a MK I and a MK II and not being able to share mags is an expensive pain.

Made a range trip today.

Cons: factory trigger is spongy, magazines catch when you go to slide them in, and the bolt release is very rough. Easier to pull the slide.

Getting the red dot sited in was a bit of a pain. It's new to me shooting pistols with a red dot.

I still haven't pulled the trigger on mine yet!

My wife gave me the same one for my birthday on Friday, and I threw a PA micro dot i had on it as well. I put my big ol' Optimus on it for kicks to sight it in yesterday evening in the backyard. Could not bring myself to stop shooting until the carton of ammo was empty. I have the same gripes about the trigger and the bolt release, but man this thing is fun suppressed. Seems to be pretty accurate also. Can't wait to get a true rimfire silencer for it.

While it is not the Lite model I do like the 22/45 with a red dot ... and especially a can. The Volquartsen trigger does make a nice difference and gets rid of the mag disconnect thankfully. When did Jeremy start the paperwork on your Oculus?

Volquartzen accurizing kit will help the trigger a lot. I still had to stone mine a bit to remove the creep. I guess they can't make them perfect and safely fit in each frame.

One of my magazines would not drop free, I ended up gently squeezing along the back spine of it with a vice (with plastic safe jaws). That fixed it, the magazine was formed a bit too thick in the rear.

My bolt release has gotten a bit easier with use, but is still a bear with an empty magazine inserted. I have about ~1200-1500 rounds through mine.

Had issues with SiCo, but it's 4-14-17 check cashed date. We started paper work well before that, lol, just issues on SiCo end with getting stuff updated.

I figure some things will fix over time. Only 100 rounds on this trip.

A note on the "bolt release" (bolt stop):

By using the bolt stop to release the bolt, be aware it will peen the bolt stop edge and it will wear that part out relatively quickly.

IME, these load better using the slingshot method and it will preserve the bolt stop. If you aren't shooting thousands of rounds it may not mean much to you. but something to keep in mind. At the end of the day it's a pretty cheap part.
